Project NameSummaryProject Team
Cancer Clinic Start Time Cancer clinics are unable to maintain on-time performance causing decreased patient satisfaction and access. Unstandardized workflows and varied appointment times create process waste and long patient wait times. Lauren Kuzminski and Adam Schmidt
OR Traffic Study An estimated 200 foot traffic occurrences in the OR has been identified as a potential contributor to SSI rates. Research has supported this claim, so the project will look at reasons why individuals enter and exit the OR and how this traffic can be reduced. John Sandgren, Rachel Zenker, and Maren Anderson
Pain Management Documentation Nursing documentation of analgesic pain control is only documented correctly about 40% of the time. There are various human factors and systems barriers that prevent nurses from adequately documenting this information. Bridget Roehrs and Ryan Brehm
Pediatric to Adult Care Transition UW Health lacks a standard or robust transition process for youth (healthy patients, speciality or complex care needs) transitioning from pediatric to adult care. We are working towards developing tools to aid providers in creating conversation and teaching transition skills.  Madeline Ford and Allison Drees
Supply Room 5S The central supply rooms maintain different inventories and organizational plans which make it difficult to locate supplies, particularly for float nurses. This leads to wasted time and excess inventory Kelsey Connors and Jen Murray
